Daniel Wells Accepts Position as Senior Pastor!
Church of the Redeemer, located at 125 Tompkins Street in Cortland, is pleased to announce that Rev. Daniel Wells has accepted the position of Senior Pastor. Daniel is a Tampa, FL native who holds a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Religion from Erskine College, Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in North Carolina, and is in the process of completing his Masters in Christian Counseling from RTS.
Daniel and his wife, Ashlee, have been married since 2010 and have two sons, Ralphie (5) and Simon (4). In 2012, his family moved to Rock Hill, SC where they planted Hill City Church.
Some of Daniel’s accomplishments include Founder and Head Counselor at Grace and Peace Counseling and Professor of Rhetoric at Greyfriars Classical Academy. Along with these vocations, Daniel enjoys writing, philosophy, epics, a couple of sports teams, and a good party. “We are looking forward to living in a smaller town, getting to know our neighbors, and throwing some parties! We love using our home for hospitality and gatherings.”
Daniel and his family are relocating to Cortland, NY the weekend of September 1st. Daniel will begin preaching at the Church of the Redeemer on September 10th (10:30am). There will be an installation service on that night at 6pm, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
We at Church of the Redeemer are family to one another and we are committed to reaching out to include others in that family! We believe that our lives are changed most dramatically through faith as we gather in intimate communities, with Jesus in our midst! We are very excited to welcome Daniel, Ashlee, Ralphie, and Simon into our family and community!
